Client portal — frequently asked
What does the client portal include?
Live access to your project's Procore log: daily field photos, RFIs/submittals/change orders, draw schedule with current % complete, inspection calendar, selections log, and warranty handoff documents at closeout. You see exactly what the PM and Super see — no curated marketing view.
Do I get notified when there's an update?
Yes — email notifications for new RFI responses, change orders submitted for your approval, inspection scheduling, and draw requests. Notification frequency is configurable: real-time, daily digest, or weekly. Most clients pick daily digest by week 3 of construction once the novelty of real-time wears off.
Can my spouse, partner, or lender see the portal?
Yes — invite as many viewers as you like with read-only or comment access. Common setup: both owners with full access, lender with read-only on draws and schedule, parents or out-of-town partners with read-only on photos. We do not charge per user.
How secure is the portal?
Procore is SOC 2 Type II audited, with TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256 at rest. We do not store payment information in the portal; banking happens through the lender's secure portal separately. Two-factor authentication is supported and recommended for any owner account.

What happens to my project files after closeout?
You receive a full project closeout PDF at substantial completion plus a permanent portal archive: as-built drawings, permit set, certificate of occupancy, all warranties, manufacturer documentation, inspection reports, and the final draw reconciliation. Portal access stays live for 24 months post-closeout for easy reference, then archives to PDF.
Can I access the portal on mobile?
Yes — Procore has native iOS and Android apps. Most of our clients use the mobile app for daily photo review and the web for the heavier RFI/change-order documents. Both keep all features.
